Effective Thursday, October 1, 2020:
Both the Beach Club & Sunset Pool are at 100% occupancy.
Hot tubs will be reopened – signs will be placed at both locations with a reminder to practice social distancing and remain 6ft apart from others not in the party.
Game Room will be reopened – 15 people max, masks are required. Please remember to wipe down the equipment before and after use – wipes will be provided.
We will no longer have a guard stationed at the pools and codes are required. Please have guests stop by the office between 9:00 am – 5:00 pm to pick up a code card.
Renter wristbands are free of charge and can be picked up with an ID at the front office from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm.
Pointe West is a master-planned community that opened in the summer of 2006 and has very quickly become one of Galveston Island’s favorite retreats – offering numerous amenities; infinity pool, large hot tub, kiddie pool, lazy river, fitness center, locker rooms, bar, restaurant, gift shop, game room, gas grills and cabanas are available to rent on the beachfront, and the Pointe West Sunset Pool with lazy river, shallow area for the little ones, hot tub, fire-pit and more grills are located on the bayside.
Pointe West has something for everyone and offers private vacation rental homes, cottages and condos. The 1000 acre community is located on the very last three miles of the West End of the island, immediately before the San Luis Pass toll bridge. That’s over three miles of beaches and over a mile of that is vehicle-free and highly maintained. Some say Pointe West beaches are among the cleanest and most inviting on the Texas coast. Bring your beach towels, sunscreen and smiles for a wonderful day on the beach!
Pointe West Beach Club charges $12 per person (ages 3 and older) from March to September. As of June 2020, Pointe West HOA has decided to limit the number of wristbands to three per bedroom. There are absolutely no exceptions to this rule, and if a wristband is lost, it will not be replaced. Guest will need to check-in at the Pointe West Beach Club front desk to pay the access fee and obtain the wristbands and access code. The access fee is paid by credit card or cash directly to the beach club and is not included in rental rates. Use of the beach club is optional, and the Pointe West Beach Club can be reached at 409-497-2525.
Things to Do in Pointe West
Since Pointe West is walking, biking and golf cart riding friendly, you’ll often see families, couples and friends traveling the trails. Others will be seen kayaking, fishing, bird watching, hiking, beachcombing or simply enjoying a picnic.

Once as far out as Pointe West, many guests may rather not go back into town, and you don’t have to. The Pointe Restaurant & Bar is located right in Pointe West at the Pointe West Beach Club, Bluewater Bar & Grill (4 miles, West of toll bridge), West End Bar & Restuarant on the bayside in Sea Isle (5 miles) or Galveston’s Food Truck Park is also located in Sea Isle (5 miles). It is suggested that guests verify hours with businesses, especially in the off-season. There are several high-end resorts to stay at in Galveston, checkout the Diamond Beach Galveston Resortor Emerald by the Sea Galveston Condos.
