Islander East Resort is a beachfront community, located on Galveston’s east end, yet so close to all the excitement, attractions and restaurants in town. Galveston’s Historic Pleasure Pier and Historic Strand District are only a little over a mile away!
Islander East offers expansive beach views, private balconies from all condos, heated community pool, tennis court and community dune crossover to easily access the beach. Although the Islander East Resort community is surrounded by quieter beaches, it is walking distance to some of the most popular beaches the island has to offer – Stewart Beach, Apffel East Beach Park and Porretto Beach. These beaches hold regular events, one of the largest, being the annual AIA SandCastle Competition at Apffel Beach every year in June; teams take months to come up with ideas and planning how they will build their masterpiece. On the day of the competition, teams are allowed five hours to make their creations come to life. These are not your ordinary sandcastles – bring your camera!
