Sea Isle is located on the far west end of the island. It is comprised of over 1500 homes, some residential and some vacation rentals. It is a welcoming community that offers a public beach, boat ramp, private fishing pier, swimming pool and tennis court. Some of the homes are beach front, while other homes are canal and dry land. This neighborhood offers something for everyone.

The Galveston Country Club is a short drive away. You can enjoy lunch, tennis, bar drinks and some seriously great golfing. Meet new people or relax in an intimate sophisticated setting. If you’re looking for spots to have dinner on the west end: Nate’s West End, Mario’s Pizza and Waterman’s Seafood Grill are the most popular.
If you want to tour the island the Seawall is about a 15 minute drive away. Go down by 25th street you can find the tour stops like: Treasure Island Tour Train or Duck Boat Tours. You will also be right next to the Galveston Island Historic Pleasure Pier. Take the ferris wheel and get a bird’s eye view of the island.
If you’re looking for a more adventurous tour, then scoot downtown near Harborside for Baywatch Dolphin Tours. They take you out into the beautiful bay for some serious dolphin watching. Another popular bay tour is by Beach Town Tours, they offer a look at Galveston via kayaking. This tour is growing in popularity and also provides training for first-time kayakers and detailed information about the island.
When you head back to Sea Isle traveling the Seawall you’ll notice a Wal-Mart and Kroger before you hit 61st. Stock up on groceries, ice and any other supplies you may need for your stay. There are also tons of fresh seafood markets. Since the vacation homes have a full kitchen you can cook as much as you’d like. There’s nothing like a fresh seafood boil or clam bake. It’s a perfecting ending for a night under the stars.
