Get Ready for July 4th, 2020
This year July 4th falls on a Saturday; the perfect opportunity to make the most of the holiday. Why not do something special and make it a weekend-long event? It’s time to start planning for your vacation, so we’ll help you get a jump start. Here’s why Galveston makes the ideal spot to spend your 4th of July.
If you’re like most people, you just have to do a handful of things around this time of year and holiday: fire up a grill, go swimming, soak up the sun, have a s’more or two (or four), and most importantly… relax. Whatever else you want to do this year, Galveston is the ideal location to spend Independence Day… especially if you want to stretch out that “relaxation” part.
No matter where you stay in Galveston, you won’t be far from a beach to go swimming. If you really love the beach, there are so many amazing beachfront homes on the island to rent. Many of our rentals have access to a community pool or have their own private pool, for a more secluded experience.
Many of our vacation homes offer a BBQ grill and many of our condos offer access to a community grill for you to use for that cookout you want. Most of our properties offer a fully stocked kitchen as well to make it that much easier.
Having a cookout on the beach is the ultimate summer experience, especially on this great holiday weekend. Bring a barbecue grill and make it a special occasion.
Galveston July 4th Parade & Fireworks [CANCELLED]
Galveston usually hosts an annual free parade and fireworks display on the world famous Seawall Boulevard, but it has been cancelled this year due to safety precautions regarding COVID-19.
Even though this big celebration is not happening this year, there are still plenty of other ways you can have your own smaller celebration.
For an even easier and care-free experience, Ryson partners with Gulf Cost Concierge to offer amazing deals to our guests. One package that might pique your interest for this time is “Fire on the Beach”. Order it and then just sit back and let us do all the work for you: a fire, s’mores, music, and more.
