Winter Texans 2012

Author: Jason Keeling - September 25, 2012

Galveston Texas may be the premier place along the Texas Gulf coast to spend the next few months. Galveston has very mild weather in the “off-season” during September, October, and November with many fun events planned. With winter rates in place, warm weather, the new pleasure pier, and a vibrant downtown, Galveston has more than enough to keep the most “well traveled” Texas snowbird busy!

Some of the attractions and events that make Galveston so fun in the “off season” are the Galveston Pleasure Pier, the Lone Star Biker Rally 2012, Moody Gardens (and Moody gardens Golf course), and the Harvest moon regatta. The lone star biker rally is now one of the country’s largest motorcycle rallies, but don’t let that scare you away. It’s a fun and family friendly event that spans 4 full days. There are bike shows, vendors, bands, events, and much more.  Don’t forget about one of the premier attractions in Texas, Moody Gardens. Moody Gardens is a very large complex that features a rainforest pyramid, a world class aquarium, and an I-MAX movie theatre.

With so many Galveston events (ß click there to learn more) planned and so much to do, you can spend your whole winter here and still not get to see or do everything. The beach is just one part of what makes Galveston great. Book now to ensure the unit you want is open and if you book a furnished Galveston rental for 30 days or more you save the 15% hotel tax!!
